Technology makes more sense when you understand what sits underneath it.
My career started with databases, expanded into large-scale data engineering and cloud architecture, and today includes Generative AI and agentic systems. That progression shapes how I learn and how I teach: start with fundamentals, understand the architecture, then work upward to the tools.

The work has changed over the years, but the thread has stayed the same: understanding how systems store, process, move and use data.
- 2023 → NOW - Data & AI. Building practical generative AI, RAG, agent and MCP systems on reliable data platforms, with a focus on evaluation and operational constraints.
- 2015 → 2022 - Data Engineering & Cloud. Designed multi-terabyte warehouses, lakes, Spark pipelines and analytics platforms across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
- 2009 → 2015 - Database Engineering & Administration. Operated and optimized business-critical SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MongoDB systems, including performance, availability and recovery.
